Do You Believe In The Horse Tooth Fairy?

Do You Think The Horse Tooth Fairy Visited Sweet Inspiration?

Sweet Inspiration lost two of his horse teeth the other day!

They were removed by the dentist. It hurt a little, but Sweet Inspiration was very brave. They are little teeth called "wolf teeth," which a horse doesn't need and the teeth can get in the way of the bit.

So out they came!

Is There A Horse Tooth Fairy?
When he got back to the Three Amigos' stalls he told Sir Blair and AJ what had happened. Then he said: "I don't have a pillow but I wonder if I put my two wolf teeth under the shavings in my stall tonight if the Horse Tooth Fairy will leave me something?"

Sir Blair Makes Them Laugh
Sir Blair, who always likes to joke, said: "Yeah, maybe since they are wolf teeth you will wake up and the Horse Tooth Fairy will leave you a bone! Ha Ha Ha!" AJ and Sweet Inspiration thought that Sir Blair's joke was so very funny and they laughed so hard tears came to their eyes.

Give It A Try!
But Sweet Inspiration thought it was worth a try, so he found a nice spot in the corner of his stall and carefully put his two wolf teeth under the shavings and then he went to sleep!

What Happened?
Morning came and the minute Sweet Inspiration woke up, he remembered the teeth. Excited he removed the shavings ..... his two wolf teeth were gone! And do you know what he saw in their place?

You Gotta Have Faith!
He saw two big beautiful golden brown pears where his teeth once were! How did they get there? Was it the Horse Tooth Fairy? Sweet Inspiration knows.... but he is not telling anyone! "Sometimes you just have to have faith" he says.

What happened to the pears? Sir Blair and AJ know .... but they won't tell... The Three Amigos just smiled and licked their lips and said they can hardly wait until the next visit from the Horse Tooth Fairy!

What do you think, did it really happen?

AJ Says: My Brother Is One Funny Looking Horse!

Can You Guess What AJ's Brother Is?

AJ thinks his brother, Cowboy, is one funny looking horse.

Nah Nah
According to AJ...."My brother does not know how to talk like a horse. I keep saying to him 'no Cowboy, it is not woof woof, it is naaaaaaaaaaah, naaaaaaaaaaah.' But he refuses to listen. He is stubborn like a mule!

Hands Down
Then, he is so short. I don't think you can measure him in "hands" like you measure other horses... you have to measure him in "fingers!' ha ha!

Can You Hear Me!
And those ears! Holy Cow! What's up with those ears! They flop down instead of up like most horses. Hey Cowboy! Can you hear me now???!!!!

No Fly Swatter
Have you looked at his tail!? Man I would like to be a fly on his back. No way he can swat flies with a noodle for a tail! And he does know how to use it. All he does is wag it, whenever someone gets near him. What's up with that? I have never wagged my tail for anyone.

Seeing Is Believing
And those eyes. They are both at the front of his head. Not at the side like other horses. He has to turn his head every time he wants to look around. I can see in front and on both sides without turning my head.

Scratch It!
Finally no one ever taught him good balance. What horse has to sit down to scratch. I mean, you have three good legs to stand on, why sit on the cold ground!

Puppy Love
Wow! Everything is so unlike a horse with him! What a dog! Hmmmm....maybe he is not a horse. He is different. But he is my brother, and I love him! "

ANSWER: Did you guess right? AJ's Brother is a dog!

Inspiration Turns Mud Into Fun!

Sweet Inspiration loves to answer questions. He is a "yes" horse. Whatever question you ask him, he always shakes his head up and down: "yes!"

He says. " it is always good to be positive! "Sure life is full of mud but instead of complaining about it, I roll in it!"

"You should try it! It is fun! The next time life gives you a big paddock of mud. Don't think poor me, my life if surrounded by mud. Instead, look for something good in the mud, and make the most out of it! HAVE FUN!"

"And, even if you get all covered with the mud, someone will come along, and will help you groom that mud right off of you!"

Sir Blair's Tips For A Happy Ride!

Of all the The Three Amigos, Sir Blair has had more experience in riding lessons than the other two combined. Over the years, he has taught hundreds of children (and even some adults) how to ride.

With all that experience, he has put together a helpful list of good horsemanship. As Sir Blair says with a chuckle: "It is all a matter of good horse sense!"

Sir Blair's Tips For Good Horsemanship

  • Be Patient with yourself and the horse.
  • Don't pull too tight on the reins, the bit can hurt
  • Give your horse a pat now and then; your horse will appreciate the attention
  • Stay focused, the horse needs to know where you want to go at all times
  • Remember it is a team effort between you and the horse so make sure you work together.
  • Don't forget the horse has feelings just like you do, so be kind at all times.
  • Bring a carrot for a reward at the end of the ride. Horses like treats just like you!

Above all, have FUN and your horse will too!

Why This Horse's Black Sock Has Special Meaning!

One day a little boy noticed that Sweet Inspiration had three white socks and one black one on his legs. "What happened to his fourth white sock?" the boy asked Inspiration's friend.

"Well," the friend replied, "he lost it when he was only a little colt."

Here Is How It Happened

"He and his mother were out for a walk , when they saw a family of bunnies.

Inspiration stopped to look at the family. They were so cute. But, suddenly he heard calls of "help" from another bunny. The calls were coming from behind a pile of leaves.

Inspiration To The Rescue

The parents looked worried. So Inspiration trotted over to see what was the problem. To his surprise, he saw that a very little bunny had fallen into a deep hole. He could not get out.

Inspiration wondered what to do. Then, he remembered his socks. So he pulled off one of his socks; held it in his mouth; and lowered it down into the hole. 'Grab onto the sock,' Inspiration said to the bunny. So the bunny grabbed onto the other end of the sock. Then Inspiration lifted his head and the little bunny came out of the hole.

Everybody was so happy that the little bunny was saved. They were all having a good time celebrating.

Mom Helps Inspiration

That night Inspiration realized that he had left his sock behind. His foot was getting cold without the white sock. So his mother gave Inspiration one of her black socks so that he could stay warm. He said, " Mom you don't have to do that!" She said, "Inspiration, you did a good deed today and so I want to do one for you."

Why The Sock Has Special Meaning

And that is why today Inspiration has three white socks and one black sock. And to him, the black sock is warmest sock of all. That is because that sock reminds him that one good deed does deserve another."

AJ The Horse Learns That He Is Adopted

One sunny spring day, AJ's Dad , Bill, took AJ out to a big green field to graze. While they were there, Bill said to AJ, "Son I have some important news to tell you."

"AJ, You Are Adopted"

AJ looked up with his big brown horse eyes and paid close attention to his Dad. He knew this was something serious. "AJ, " Bill said with a big gulp. "You are adopted." At that moment AJ chocked on the grass that was in his mouth.

What To Do?

For days afterwards, AJ thought and thought about this important news. What should he do? His dad is not his real dad? What does that all mean?

Saddle Up!

One day he mentioned it to his Amigo, Sir Blair. And Sir Blair started laughing. He said: "AJ, all the horses at the stable are adopted! And does it bother us? Not at all! Because we are all cared for and we are all loved!

"Your father is your
father regardless if he adopted your or not!"

Your father is your father regardless if he adopted you or not! It is like a good saddle. If it fits like a good saddle, and feels like a good saddle, it is a good saddle!"

It is A Good Saddle!

The next day AJ's Dad was tacking AJ up. AJ looked up at his Dad and thought: "I really like this saddle! It feels real good."

MEET THE THREE AMIGOS!

AJ
AJ is what some might call a "senior citizen." However, don't tell him that because he thinks he is just a kid! And his dad, Bill, likes to think he is too!

One of AJ's self-appointed jobs is to keep a close eye on everything that is going on at the stable; especially the mares.

That is why he convinced everyone at the stable that the best paddock for him is smack dab in the middle of everywhere.

And what about his name? What does AJ stand for. . .? Well legend has it that he was born in a huge field of beautiful flowers. So, he is named after his birthplace: Autumn Jester.......but you can call him "J."

Sir Blair
Sir Blair has been a teacher for most of his life. Many many generations of children and some adults have learned riding thanks to the efforts of Blair.

He is a gentleman who always likes a good joke. And he is very close to the other Amigos. He is always concerned when they are not in their
stalls. He has been known to call out to missing
Amigos for hours until they find their way back home.

What is Sir Blair's favorite joke? "Why did the horse cross the street? Because the grass was greener on the other side!" Sir Blair laughs every time you tell him that joke!

His favorite food? Anything that tastes and looks like a carrot!

Sweet Inspiration
Sweet Inspiration is as sweet as his name implies. He is bi-riding style. In other words, you can ride him in the English style or the Western style. He understands both!

His favorite riders are little and young. He loves kids! That is because he is still a kid at heart! "Let's walk, let's trot and if you want to, I love to canter!"

Legend has it that he was born on a dude ranch, the "Bar T4" Ranch. At least that is what the branding is on his left hip. That is why when you sing him a cowboy song, he hums along.

What is his favorite food? Anything that matches his name: sweet! He is a sweet food addict, but his parents know better. Only sweets in moderation and only when he is a good boy. And how often is he a good boy? Just ask him, he will tell you: "ALL the time!"
